The Jigsaw Bag is handcrafted in-house by the Kate Sheridan team in Hackney using Italian vegetable-tanned leather. This unlined bag is secured with a Sam Browne closure and sits comfortably on the shoulder with a slim, adjustable buckle strap. Finished with Italian brass hardware in a silver tone, it combines timeless elegance with practical design.

Care Instructions:
This bag is made from vegetable-tanned leather, a natural material that ages beautifully over time, developing a rich patina with wear. The leather is dyed using plant-based tannins, avoiding harmful chemicals. Please note that lighter and brighter colors may darken over time as part of this natural process, and darker colors may transfer onto lighter materials.

Each bag is unique, with slight variations in texture depending on the part of the hide it’s cut from, adding to its charm. To keep your bag looking its best, we recommend occasionally treating it with leather food to moisturize and protect the leather.

In Store

We purchase each of our collections in limited numbers, so we do not accept returns or exchanges in-store or online based on change of mind. 
If a piece is deemed faulty, we will repair it if appropriate to do so, replace it if possible, issue a credit note, or issue a refund in keeping with Australian consumer law.

Purchases of 
Metta Melbourne can be returned for a credit or exchange, provided they are returned unworn, still tagged, and within 7 days. A credit or exchange will be granted if terms are agreed to, less administrative costs. Credit must be used within 6 months of receipt.

Note, that although we try our best to accurately represent colours, colours may vary slightly due to the monitor or screen you are using.
There are no returns or exchanges on any of our International Brands, unless the item is faulty.
There are no returns or exchanges on discounted or sale items.
Online purchases of Metta Melbourne, from within Australia, can be returned for a credit or exchange provided they are returned unworn, still tagged, and within 7 days of delivery. A credit or exchange for the cost of item only (not shipping) will be granted if terms are agreed to. Return shipping costs, Shopify fees (2%) and taxes are to be paid by the customer and a restocking fee of 20% of RRP may apply. Any credits must be used within 6 months of receipt.
Customers are entitled to one return of Metta Melbourne items per transaction.  We reserve the right to refuse orders from customers with re-current returns.
We reserve the right to reject any request for returns that do not comply with the conditions above or do not fall under Australian consumer law. If your return is approved but after review your package is not accepted, it will be sent back to you at your cost and a return will not be granted.

Due to the nature of the dyeing process, Metta colours will vary between dye lots. This is not deemed as a fault. If you wish to match two Metta pieces together we recommend coming in store.

      Are there any charges for returns?

      - Original shipping charges are non-refundable
      - Original tax and duty is non-refundable
      - You are responsible for return shipping charges and any duties payable
      - 20% of RRP re-stocking fee to cover administrative fees and charges

        How do I complete a return?

        Email us with details of what you would like to return, and what you wish to exchange it for.

          Once your order is placed, we typically ship within 1 to 3 days. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout, where you will have the option to choose between Regular or express post.
           

          Domestic Orders

          Within Australia, we ship via Australia Post, using both Regular and Express Post Services, you have the option to choose which service you would prefer at the checkout. We also offer a pick up option if you would like to come and collect your item.
           
          We offer Free Regular Post delivery on all Australian orders over $400, which includes signature on delivery.  

          You'll receive an email notification once your order has been sent, including a tracking number. Please check your spam folder if you do not receive an email immediately after placing an order with us.
           
          Once your order leaves us, we cannot be held responsible for any delays, misplaced or stolen packages. We highly recommend using a secure delivery address and keeping up with the movement of your package during transit. 
           

          International Orders

          International orders are delivered Express by DHL. We are unable to provide guaranteed delivery dates for these packages, and are not responsible for any delays.
           
          Please note that customs and duties are not included in your order, and vary from country to country. We do not cover the cost of duties and taxes and will not accept returns due to these extra costs incurred. It is up to the purchaser to research duties and taxes in their own country.

          Remote Area Delivery Fee: Please note, if your shipping address is considered 'remote' by DHL, it will incur an additional AUD$30 shipping fee. We will contact you via email should this apply.
